“Do you really think people can change like that?” she sighed but then had to consider what she was saying. ”Well… I guess if he;s not hurting anyone…”
“I couldn’t honestly care less as long as he’s behaving. However, I hear Thor has been acting weird.” he crossed his arms. “I don’t know about you guys, but I’m sick of this god shit.”
Back at the lab.
After the Hulk incident, there was at least 1 SHIELD paid scientist and 1 SHIELD agent in the room at all times. Which caused more stress, but he knew he deserved the extra attention. No more serums for awhile.
His latest project was trying to figure out what went wrong with the last dose. Similar serums had worked to suppress the Hulk so what was different about this dose.
His thoughts where lost when a familiar face walked in. “Hello Natasha, checking in on me?”
“Hell if I know, I was told to come here,” she shrugged, strutting in and throwing herself down on a chair near his desk, spinning back and forth like she was already bored with the work. ”I’m fine, by the way, since you seemed so concerned.”
Natasha glanced around. ”Anything exciting going on in this place?” she sighed. She’d yet to be briefed on any situations arising in her absence while she was on mission out of country.
Clint was walking down the hallway when he heard a familiar voice. His ears perked up, almost as that of a dog’s and slowly backed up to peek around the doorway.
“Tasha?” his eyes lit up.
Banner shifted uncomfortably. “Well, yeah. Quite a bit has happened actually. Loki is not trying to kill us. Thor’s.. acting funny. We have another Asgardian enemy named Amora and I messed up a serum and Hulk’d out for a few days.” Before she could respond, Clint poked his head in. And so ends that conversation…
She nodded to whatever it was Bruce was saying. She typically didn’t actually listen, just looked really serious while they talked and nodded along making her seem astute and on top of things. Before he could finish however, Clint’s voice carried to her ears and she turned in a rush of red curls.
“Clint!” she smiled and ran to him, enveloping him in a hug, rubbing his hair and scritching a little bit just behind his ears like she knew he liked.
Clint hugged her back, spinning her around once. “How was that trip of yours?” he asked. “Kicked some major ass or what?”
Banner went back to work. Listening to the two talk.
“Well of course,” she smirked, leaving her hands on his shoulders, reaching into a pouch on her belt to pull out a sour patch kid and put it in his mouth, patting him on the head. ”Rescued some people, found out a few secrets, all that jazz. Were you good while I was gone?” She hugged him again.
“Define good.” he laughed as he chewed the piece of candy she slipped in her mouth.
Guh. Clint knew they could never be together even if he wanted them to. She was a spy. Simple as that. No way in hell it would work.
“No offense you two..” Banner suddenly said to them both, looking up and taking off his glasses. “But I am working and you two are a bit distracting. Why don’t you go out on a lunch date or something.”
Natasha huffed a little.
“You never finished telling me what’s been going on since I’ve been gone…” she said and looked to both of the men to fill her in. Now that Clint was here she was in a bit more of a listening mood.
“Well did Bruce tell you the situation with our friendly neighborhood god of mischief?” he folded his arms.
“Loki, I mentioned it but… He’s not our enemy. At least not at the moment he isn’t. So far he has been helping out if he can. Loki and Balder, his little brother, have been staying at my place.” Banner quickly explained, not bothering to look up from his work.
“… Loki is staying… at your place?” Natasha asked incredulously. ”As in… kills people and generally causes problems, adopted brother of Thor, hates our guts and wants us dead Loki. That Loki? And… you’ve laid out a cot for him? Am I understanding this right? Because I thought — and I mean correct me if I’m wrong — but I thought we usually try to take out the stabby killy people before they wipe out all of humanity. I mean that was just my understanding.”
She looked at Clint with a make-this-bitch-make-some-sense look.
“Well from what I can understand, big green tank over there beat his ass up while Loki got turned into a mortal. After that he apparently had this ‘eye opening moment’ where he said he was going to be good again or some shit.” he shrugged. “He’s been good so far, so I could care less. One less ass to beat down.”

Clint was walking down the hallway when he heard a familiar voice. His ears perked up, almost as that of a dog’s and slowly backed up to peek around the doorway.
“Tasha?” his eyes lit up.
Clint and Hulk were able to make a quick end of the robbers and turn them. It was fun while it lasted. As the two of them headed back to base, Clint kind of wished something else would happen, but he was pretty tired as it is.
He stretched his arms out and yawned as the duo walked into the mansion. However, he blinked and raised an eyebrow when a rather small, unexpected guest was waiting for them in the common area.
“Yeah um hi, who the hell are you?” he was about to pick the kid up by the collar but resisted. How the hell did this kid get in?
“You’re the archer, correct?” Loki took no time going over the confused looks. However when he peered around Clint he winced a bit when he saw the Hulk. Hopefully the monster wasn’t still upset with him, he DID NOT need a repeat of their last meeting.
When Clint just continued staring at the young god with both eyebrows raised, Loki rolled his eyes.
“It’s me, Loki, you oaf.”
Before Clint had a chance to even let out an exclamation, Loki began talking over him.
“Listen, I know I am in no position to ask this, but I need your help.”
They moment they walked in and the child into view, Banner paniced a bit. God.. Hulk, you need to remain calm. He’s a kid now and needs our help.
After listening to him speak, Hulk crouched down low to the child. “WHY WE HELP BABY LOKI?” It’ might have to do with his.. current size.
“Yeah, what the big guy said.” Clint added, taking his mouth of the floor, metaphorically of course. “Seriously, it’s not like you’ve done us any favors.” he scoffed. I mean honestly, he could care less that he was a child now for whatever reason, probably some Asgardian shit, hell if he knew. But anyway, he was and will always be a little shit. No way around it.
“Listen..” he stepped back a bit when the Hulk crouched next to him. “I know I have not been the kindest to you, but I have changed.” The young god said sincerely. “When I had… that close brush with death…” he muttered, “I looked at things in a different light. Until very recently, I have been mortal with no intention of returning back to my form. However, my recklessness has now caused somebody very dear to me to be put into danger.”
He took a deep breath. “If you will not believe my words, then believe Banner’s.” Loki looked at the Hulk. “These past few weeks I have been trying to sort out a few things…” he looked down at his feet. “So I figured I would start here.”
“If you do me this one favor, I will be forever in your debt. I will lend my help whenever and wherever you need it.”
Hulk, he as been behaving. Just… help him out. It’s probably Amora that’s in trouble.
Hulk huffed again “BANNER SAID OKAY. AMORA.” He looked at Hawkeye, expecting him to know what was being explained.
“Wait… this is about Amora?!” Okay. Loki may be a little shit, but Clint did not like how that other dude just came in and snatched her. Ugh. Fuckin magic shit. “You need us to beat that red guy up or something?”

Hulk gave him a huff and sat back down. He hated being stuck like this. It’s for the best, trust me.
Suddenly he stood up again. “HULK AVENGER! HULK GO KEEP PEOPLE SAFE!” and headed for the door. HULK, seriously. We need to stay here. We don’t know what else the serum could have done. Just stay here and play poker with Clint or something.
He continued towards the door. “COMING CUPID?”
It took Clint only a moment to think about the consequences about what he was just about to do. What can Bruce do? Lecture him to death?
“Hell yeah.” he ran over to the Hulk and gave him a little punch on the arm.
Hulk grinned as the walked outside. You know this isn’t going to end well. What if the serum give out and suddenly I’m back and your not around?
Hulk ignored the voice and headed toward the city. “FIRST FOOD.” He looked to Clint, waited for a response.
“How bout some hot dogs?” he held the door open for him. “I know this great stand.”
“HOT DOGS SOUND GOOD.” He walked out then waited for Clint to show him the way.
Fine, just take it easy okay?
When the arrived at the cart, the vendor looked up and stared in shock at Hulk before Clint snapped him back to reality. They ordered a few hot dogs and Hulk ate them quickly, deciding they were good. “NEED TO HAVE THESE AGAIN.”
Suddenly his head started to hurt again. Not too much, but enough he noticed it. “HULK THIRSTY, DOES MAN HAVE DRINK?”
Clint laughed and ordered a drink for him. He always enjoyed hanging with Hulk just because of the priceless looks they always got from people passing by.
Hulk finished the drink in one gulp and would have demanded more had an Alarm not suddenly gone off. Hulk flung Hawkeye over his shoulder and jumped toward the sound. They happened upon a bank robbery in progress, the robbers themselves had barricated the doors and a standoff had already started. “TIME FOR SAMSH.” He said, setting his friend down and grinning
Oh no, Hulk stop. We are not in any condition for this.
He did nothing but laugh when Hulk through him over his shoulder. He had absolutely no problem with getting some action tonight, in fact it was much better then sitting watching TV while Hulk complained.
When Hulk set him down, he took his bow off his back and whipped it open.
“Let go kick some burglar ass.”
Hulk gave him a huff and sat back down. He hated being stuck like this. It’s for the best, trust me.

Hulk watched the television SHIELD provided him. Currently he was watching Ellen.
Banner was still wide awake in Hulk’s mind and every once in awhile would make a comment or tell Hulk something. But Hulk started to ignore it mostly, he didn’t answer Banner if someone was in the room. And they were both feeling the stress of being stuck together like this.
It seems that we need to do something about our situation.. instead of watching mid-day television programming Hulk. Or do you want to be stuck like this?
“QUIET PUNY MAN.” Hulk muttered
I’m serious. I don’t like this anymore than you do but we need to fix this.
Hulk gave a huff sound and continued to watch his show. Fine, after this show then. But something needs to get done.
Clint stretched as he walked into the lab, checking to see if the Hulk was still being locked up in there. When he entered, without knocking of course, he raised an eyebrow when he saw what he was watching.
“That bored, big guy?” he asked as he swung a lab chair around next to gamma monster and sat on it backwards. “Still cooped up in here?”
“DON’T TRUST HULK.” Me muttered taking a quick glance toward the SHIELD agents keeping an eye on him.
To be perfectly honest, you haven’t really given them much to trust Hulk. You wake up and smash everything around you most of the time.
Hulk turned to Clint. “CUPID, TAKE HULK OUTSIDE.”
“Sorry man, don’t think they would let me do that. Fury would use me as Hydra bait if I did.” he shrugged. “Did you actually try asking nicely or did you just smash things around when they told you no?”
“FURY NOT COME SAY ANYTHING. AGENTS AFRAID TO TALK TO HULK.” He said loudly, just to see the agents flinch.
To be honest we should probably stay inside until this situation is dealt with.
“BANNER NOT FUN.” Hulk stood up and looked down and Clint. “HULK WANT OUTSIDE!”
“And what does Bruce think about this?” he kicked his feet up. “I personally think he should make the call, buddy.”

Hulk glared “CUPID, BANNER AWAKE! TALKING” He grabbed his head “TALKING IN HULK HEAD!” Not good…
“Wait… so Bruce is the one up in there talking to you?” he raised eyebrow, fucking relieved.
“Hey woah!” Clint spun around and put his hands up. “It’s all under control, as you were, ya red shirts.”
“Anyway.” he turned back to Hulk. “Sorry man, I kinda had to. You came at me with a fury that couldn’t be stopped.”
Hulk let out a huff and sat down again “NOT WEARING RED.” he said. Everything was still fuzzy for him, and that made him go on high alert. Relax big guy the voice came back and told him. “WHO TALK!!!”
“It was a joke, Hulk, jeez. Lighten up.”
Clint raised an eyebrow once Hulk started talking crazy however. “No one’s talking… It’s just me and you here…”
He pinched the bridge of his nose. Guh, what did Bruce do?
“I HEAR VOICE!” he glared at Clint. “WHO TALK!!”
This is not going to be easy is it? Relax Hulk its just me, Clint can’t hear me. For some reason we are both up instead of one at a time.
“HULK NOT LIKE VOICE!!” Jeez, okay. I’ll stop for now, but you need to relax.
Ok… someone needs to put in a loony bin.
“Hulk.. there is no voice. Calm down, jeez.”
He just stared at Clint for a moment. “…. VOICE QUIET NOW.” Hulk raised his hands to his head.
“Yeah… ok..” he sighed. “You mind letting Banner back out? We were short of in the middle of a conversation before you so rudely interrupted.”
Hulk closes his eyes. We can’t right now. Whatever that serum did it’s keeping us both up and nothing is going to change until it wears off. “NO. CAN’T.” He opens eyes “HE AWAKE.”
Hulk, you have to use my name. ‘He awake’ is going to freak him out. “QUIET VOICE!!” Talking to yourself will freak him out too.
Clint took a step back. “Uh… okay…” he was starting to become paranoid.
He’s awake? What the FUCK does that mean? Some evil spirit? Some voodoo shit? I did not sign up for any of this shit.
Hulk saw Clint step away and glared “BANNER UP!! TALKING!!!”
Will you relax Hulk, this is freaking him out.
“QUIET!”
Okay, okay. I’ll shut up. But you need to relax, let the serum work it’s way out of your system. Then things can go back to normal.
Hulk gave a low moan “HEAD HURT.”
He reached behind him to grab an arrow, not saying another word. The one thing he did not like to deal with was paranormal activities.
“Hey woah!” Clint spun around and put his hands up. “It’s all under control, as you were, ya red shirts.”
“Anyway.” he turned back to Hulk. “Sorry man, I kinda had to. You came at me with a fury that couldn’t be stopped.”

“DID YOU CHECK THE DRAWERS?” He wasn’t going to last much longer. “And you might want to-ARGH” he fell to the floor. “CALL for backup!”
“Shit.” he picked up his communicator.
“Uh guys,” he spoke into it. “We a gotta big green, problem here.”
Thank god he didn’t get a chance to change when he came back from his mission. He took out his bow that was hooked to his back and snapped it out and into place.
Anything to make life interesting right?
It always hurt changing, but not like this. The last thing he heard and saw before turning was Clint calling for back up and preparing for a fight. Damn
Clint pulled out two explosive arrows and one arrow that would let out a net and readied them to fire all at once while swiftly moving towards the back of the room towards the cabinets that he knew he could climb if need be.
“Come on, big guy, give it the best you got.”
Everything was fuzzy but Hulk could see something out of the ordinary. Purple. He stood up and yelled before charging toward it.
Clint shot the three arrows at the green mass of muscle heading straight from him before he slid underneath the beast and spun around, hitting him with four tranquilizer arrows in the back of the neck.
He ran into the cabinets and then to the ground before getting up. Hulk could feel himself getting weaker, which only makes him angrier.
Turning around he sees the purple mass again, he charges. Then something starts to come into focus and he slows to look at it.
“That’s it big fella, calm down.” Clint was slowly backing away but had his arrows ready. “It’s only me. You friendly neighborhood bad ass.”
Hulk leaned forward. “CUPID…” he said before sitting down. His head hurt, bad. Just relax and it will get better something told him.
Clint let out a long sigh and let his arms drop. Thank god.
“What’s up, big guy?” he asked, his hand still on his bow, just in case something else happened. “Sinus headache?”
He gave a low growl. “HEAD HURT. YOU HURT HULK?” He said angrily. SHIELD agents came in at that moment, prepared to fight and Hulk stood up and yelled at them.
“Hey woah!” Clint spun around and put his hands up. “It’s all under control, as you were, ya red shirts.”

“Come on, big guy, give it the best you got.”
He gave him a blank stare. “… thanks?” he uttered while injecting the serum into his blood stream. After pulling out the needle he sat on the stool for a moment and let it do it’s work.
If felt weird, almost like when his foot went to sleep but all over. “That’s… not what I was expecting.” Banner looked up at Clint, but his vision was blurry. “Oh, great. I can’t even see now. Clint, in that fridge over to the left, there are some sedatives that SHIELD made for Hulk. If you see any kind of dangerous change, give me some.”
“Yeah yeah, no problem.” he cast a sideways glance at Bruce before headed to the fridge.
“Uh…” Clint shuffled around the various things that were in there. “There are WAY too many needles and serums in here.”
“It’s going the be an orange color and labeled HS-800.” Suddenly something changed. He could feel his body fighting the new chemical. “Clint. Hurry!”
“I don’t see what you’re talking about!” he started frantically searching the fridge looking for the damned thing. “You reeeeeally need to keep your shit organized.”

Banner stared at the vile in front of him. It was finally ready for testing. He had been working on the new serum for a few weeks and from what his preliminary testing showed, he might have found the starting point for a cure.
It probably wouldn’t have taken so long, had he not been dealing with two Gods in his home. He was actually very surprised that there wasn’t an incident already. His stress levels where already high from just Loki.
But now it was ready. The only thing he had to decide on was to keep the news to himself or to tell someone in case this ended badly. I’m in SHIELD and they would know immediately if something happened. As long as I stay here I shouldn’t hurt anyone if I do have issues… but if they aren’t prepared for it…
“Screw it, SHIELD prides themselves on being prepared right?” he said aloud as he rolled up his sleeves and prepared the dose. “It will only be a small dose anyway.”Clint knocked on the door to Bruce’s lab, entering before the doctor even had a chance to enter.
“So I’ve been thinking.” he casually walked up to Bruce’s desk all suited up, obviously just coming back from a mission. “What do you think about changing your name?” the blonde folded his arms and leaned against the work space. “Because I’m seeing you as more of a Hank recently. It just kind of clicks you know. You deff seem like a Hank.”
The agent saw the annoyed look on Bruce’s face and frowned. “Oh come on you kill joy, that was funny.”
“I rather like my name Clint. But if you want to change yours name go right ahead.” He said before filling a needle up with a small dosage of the serum. “I’m a little busy right now, did you have something serious to talk about?”
“Nope. Just wanted to come in to bother you.” he shrugged. “I take it you’re still working on the cure of yours?”
He looked at him “Well, yes. I think this might be it.” he told Clint, holding the syringe up. “..not the cure, but a start to one. I’m about to test the dose on myself.”
“Are you sure that’s the smartest thing to do?” he raised an eyebrow. “Couldn’t you test it with your blood under a microscope or something?”
He stopped “I’ve already done blood tests, but they are small doses and it needs my body pumping it for an accurate test. It should be fine. If you are that worried then go warn everyone.” and he plunged the needle in.
“Hey, if I die, I want the last thing I see to be your beautiful green face.” he punched him on the shoulder. “So no worries.”
